I recently acquired a new book shelf and some action figures that were on sale to help decorate it (OMG open shelf space I thought I'd never have that again!), and thought it would be funny to have Wonder Woman use her lasso on Batwoman. Well, that, and Batwoman has a heck of a time staying upright on her stand and this helped.
Anyway, I took some pictures of it, and it's ALMOST worth a chuckle, but now I suspect that I will never get Wonder Woman's lasso back to the way it's supposed to be, so it was somewhat costly for what could almost count as funny. It fits with my long and sorted history of messing up/losing action figure accessories, however.
I am not a reader of many comic books these days. I pick up a lot of manga (less now that the realism of cost and shelf space has sunk in), but the only comic book I actually buy these days is PS238 (Learn more about it and other great comics here). Prior to it ending, the only other comic I bought regularly was Nodwick.
The DC characters, however, are so iconic that I am a big fan of them all the same. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman... I love seeing these characters and enjoy the various parodies that exist of them. I have one of those books that collects old comics of Superman, and will probably one day get the Batman and Wonder Woman versions someday (making use of the 30% off coupons that the Borders rewards program wuvs to hand out). I find the old campy comic book stories and dialogue to be hilarious.
And yes, I do have the female versions of Superman and Batman from that alternate universe or whatever it was Of the two, I'd say the female Batman is cooler, but I guess that comes with the bat territory.
